B Guys Emerges Victorious

This past Wednesday afternoon, the B football squad hosted RVA – C in a league game. After playing them a few weeks back, we knew that they would come out strong and play hard. RVA – C did just that, but we were right there to match their intensity and hustle. Tim C. opened the scoring with back to back goals – the first a low, hard shot, followed by a beautiful strike in the upper corner of the net to put us up 2-0! Soon after that, Stephen W. contributed a great goal from close range to make the score 3-0 which carried us to halftime.

In the second half, we continued to play great defense and make great passes, setting up Eric M. who hit an excellent shot from outside the box to bring the score to 4-0. Credit goes to RVA – C for not giving up and continuing to play hard, as they came back and scored one of their own. Chanyoung Y. answered almost immediately with a nice shot for a goal. In the closing minutes, RVA – C was given a penalty kick, which they converted to make the final score a 5-2 victory for us!

Excellent job, guys! Keep up the hard work, as we look forward to playing a league game against Strathmore on Monday!
