Dress Code

The following is the required performance attire for all performances at Rosslyn Academy

Gentlemen are to dress in the following manner:

• Black Trousers – NO DENIM
• White Shirt – button down the front – polo, golf, team jerseys, t-shirts are all UNACCEPTABLE.
• Black dress socks
• Black dress shoes – athletic shoes of any kind or shoes that have extra markings are UNACCEPTABLE
• Necktie of your choosing – just try not to be so outlandish that everybody is looking at you and not listening

Ladies are to dress in the following manner:

• Black mid-length skirt (well below the knees, about 1/2 way down the calf when standing) – absolutely no patterns or extra colors added – mini skirts are never acceptable
• White blouse – no extra colors added
• Black dress shoes – black pumps work best
• Black or natural stockings – not socks and most definitely not white

The Dress Code for the purpose of establishing uniformity in the appearance of the ensemble.  It should be considered a uniform or a costume.  Fashion statements are for parties and formal events, not the concert stage.
