Despite coming off a tough loss to St. Christopher’s the day before, our ladies did a great job playing together and working for three hits. The first set was back-and-forth, with both sides have great rallies, until ISK-B finally took it in the end by a score of 25-23. However, I was so proud of how our Rosslyn ladies did not quit after losing a close first set, both instead they determined as a team to step up their level of play, and they confidently played an even better second set! We took the second by a score of 25-15! In the final set, both teams played great volleyball, and despite our excellent efforts, ISK-B won the third set 25-16, and the overall match 2-1. Outstanding work, ladies! Keep up the hard work in our last two league games next week!
Coach Lehman

B Girls’ Volleyball vs. St. Christopher

On Monday, our B girls’ volleyball team traveled across town for a double match against St. Christopher’s. Both teams played well throughout both matches, having many long rallies. Though our Rosslyn girls played hard and determinedly worked to get three hits a side, St. Christopher’s took the first match by a score of 2-1 (25-12, 23-25, 15-10). And due to time, our second match was shortened to 15-point sets, and St. Christopher’s continued their momentum as they took the second match by a score of 2-0. Though the scores weren’t in our favor, our girls really came together as a team and encouraged each other, especially during the second match, and they worked hard at communicating, passing to the setter, and working for three hits. Keep working hard, ladies!
