Ruth E. Van Reken is a second generation Third Culture Kid (TCK) and mother of three grown TCKs. For the last 25 years, she has worked extensively with those who also grew up among many cultures, helping them to understand and use the gifts of their background while dealing productively with its challenges. Ruth speaks internationally to parents, human resource professionals, educators, and other caregivers on how they can recognize and develop the strengths of a cross-cultural childhood.

She is co-founder of the annual Families in Global Transition conference, and we are pleased to welcome her to Rosslyn Academy! In addition to leading our February 27th teacher inservice day, Ruth will be offering a parent session on Tuesday, February 28th from 4-5:30 PM in the Rosslyn auditorium. This is a special event and a unique opportunity to interact with an internationally known expert on issues essential to our families. All are welcome!
