Welcome to the Rosslyn Community
Whether you are new to Kenya or just new to the Rosslyn community, I want to wish you a heartfelt “karibu” (welcome).
Since it opened its doors to four American missionary children in 1947, Rosslyn Academy has grown into a thriving educational community of 650 students from over 50 different nations. While the school’s founders would hardly recognize the beautiful campus that has grown up over Rosslyn’s rich history, the school’s mission and culture have remained largely the same.
That mission, “to inspire and equip each student to develop their God-given gifts for Christ-like service in the world community,” is far more than a slogan gathering dust in some forgotten hallway. Instead, it continues to reflect the school’s belief that every student is a uniquely gifted child of God, whose talents, when discovered, challenged, and nurtured, have the potential to transform the world.
Today, our former students are active around the globe, using the gifts that they discovered and honed at Rosslyn. We believe your child, like these graduates, has God-given capacities that are waiting to be unleashed. It will take hard work, an excellent and committed teaching staff, and loving support from you, but we can’t wait to see what is in store.
On behalf of our entire community, welcome to Rosslyn Academy!
